Are you ready to get engaged at SGPC? We’re excited you’re here and ready to help you find your place!

Stewardship is the act of taking care of what has been entrusted to us. As faithful stewards of God’s gifts, SGPC members get involved, give back, and celebrate the many gifts that God has given us. The church needs your physical, spiritual, and financial support. Join us in taking faithful care of all that God showers upon us!

Knowing that it takes all of God’s people to be the body of Christ on earth, we need you, your gifts, your passions, your skills, your hopes, and your energy! Being involved at SGPC looks different for everybody! The examples below can help you determine where you might fit based on your gifts and passion. Please note that what’s listed below is just a small sampling of ways to jump in.

Engage with the Congregation

Be involved in the SGPC community as a participant or through service.

    • Serve as an usher
    • Sing in the Choir
    • Participate in studies and small groups
    • Provide flowers for worship
    • Help prepare the communion table for the Lord’s Supper

Give Resources

Thank God by giving back a portion of the financial resources God has given to you.

    • Spend time with our World Relief refugee team
    • Serve at Saturday Supper and the Food Pantry
    • Volunteer with our Team Read ministry

    • Shop at our Mustard Seed store

Share Faith

Care for others in various small studies, small groups, and teaching opportunities.

Offer Hospitality

Share gifts of welcome, inclusion, and invitation to visitors and members.

    • Join the kitchen-team for Wednesday Night Suppers

    • Take meals to people who are sick, grieving, or in need of extra care

Serve Behind the Scenes

Serve through gifts of organization, budgeting, administrative tasks, and leadership.
